I don't understand. "But with a top assisted speed of 28mph, it will not be permitted in the UK, it has emerged." Is there a speed limit for bicycles or only for electric powered bicycles? 28mph, or 45kph, isn't that fast. They'll then have to ban/fine all the racing cyclists in that country!

Apparently the limit is 15mph.

They can be dangerous, other road users tend to assume its a normal bicycle and do silly things like pull off or walk in front of them.

I nearly walked in front of one that was going uphill with an elderly looking chap riding, luckily i looked again and clicked he was going a bit fast...
