Again Clive and his team organized a descent well priced race with a fun route!

It is great to see how the numbers grow and how the event gets improved relatively quickly.

Just a suggestion :

The reasoning behind seeding only pre-entrants (Online) is a bit "unfair" considering a line entry would not get you seeded.

If the rule counts, the line entrants should also be given a chance on race day to prove that his SAS index is worthy for instance of an A batch start either by printing out his SAS index with past results or even just printing out a recent Vori-Berg result.

If the race could only be entered online for instance like the Trailseeker series then the rule makes sense.

But as proven again this Saturday, there were allot of line entrants, possibly allot more than expected.

And I believe that is an aspect that you would like to keep incorporated ( obviously trying to get more people entering online), as this has always been a bonus for riders entering on the day itself with no late entry fees.

Thanks again for a great race.

Great ride, enjoyed the route and well organised event.

The things I enjoyed:

* Route had more single-track than alternative route done due to mud - great

* Condition of route was perfect

* Mixture of singletrack/jeep track and sand roads perfect (passing, variety and resting etc)

* Well organised event, pre-entry to day entry and pricing

Things I found annoying:

* Having to deal with 15km/30km guys on first lap (there are places to pass but this time I met up at the singletrack)

* Marshal (security guard) telling a group of us to go past chicken farm gate instead of inside (minor delay)

* A few places where route spits without marker (nothing too major though)

* Bridge has a few weeks left, quite a bit of firewood lying about there.

I have heard the 60km single lap route is on its way, that will be amazing in this area.

I will be back for the next one, the minor annoying things will not deter me from coming back, especially now that I know the route better.

Agreed that this was an awesome race!

My third race at Vori-Berg, and my second on the SS. With the big climb at the beginning, and either flat or downhill almost all the way to the finish, made interesting for my choice of gear. I went with the bigger gear to maximise my speed on the flats, but I suffered on the second part of the first climb.

Goodrace overall, can't say I noticed any bottlenecks......

With regards to bottle necks at Vori-Berg. I have never had such a problem at this race.

Dubber, thanks for the post,

Through out the thought and glad that you provided feedback.

I am sure that your suggestion can work, need to talk to the folks at SAS.

I am glad that you enjoyed your race again.

Cheers

Kevin,

Thanks for the feedback,

Will be fixing the bridge, looking at some dual single track for the 15km section of route.

Give me a call so that i can establish where we need to up our route marking.

Glad you enjoyed the race

Thanks
