  1. With regards to the trails, at the moment there are some sections that still need a cut, there is still plenty of trails to ride - did a 20km ride there on Wednesday and was great. With regards to the back entrance - they are building a new road into the back (by riders ablution block) - I'm hoping this new entrance will be up soon. The new entrance is to cater for the Farmers Market that is moving into Modders - it looks like the Fourways Farmers Market that is relocating to Modders. It also looks like they are extending the parking to cater for the extra expected people that will be attending the market - not sure how this will affect the riders yet.
  2. Modders is closed on Mondays, but if it is a public holiday like the the 17th June - then they are open for riders.

  4. System is hanging again this morning just trying to check registration details. Good luck to Race and Trail entries.

  6. Are you taking him to the Bealieu MTB this weekend? Go for the 15km http://www.bps-mtb.co.za/
  7. Hi any updates for 2013, nothing on cyclesport besides the fast one
  8. Yes it is also a bit further 125km I think I saw
  9. I have been using FitTrack for more than a year and really make full use of their site and sometimes training plans. For me the Fitness Score and graphs are the main features for me.
  10. 24 hour Event Venue The venue was perfect with enough camping space for the amount of people that attended. The cars in the camping area would have been more of a problem if the numbers were higher. Route Perfect. Well done Mr van Gaalens Catering I luckily did not need anything, but understand the guys who came alone with minimal stuff. A large water container for bottles at the start would be nice for next time. The drinks were covered but not taken away, I helped myself and there was plenty cases left with a few hours to go. Thanks for that, I eventually enjoyed them. Announcer Have heard him at events before - mostly enjoyed but understand if young or sensitive ears around. Prizes Yes the young Trinity team came 1st in category so hope they got something - they were really pushing hard and deserve something. Even if our team had won, we are not really there for prizes, but is always a nice token. Marshals Thanks, Thanks, Thanks - we could not have done it without you. I almost always acknowledge them on route, just to show that they are appreciated. Thanks to the couple that were at the far out sand road station the beer was ice cold, fire warm and took the time to take a photo of me downing the beer. Organizers Very professional and enjoyed the timing screen display on the tent inside. I did not think anyone still used Lotus 123 - but that automated application looked and worked perfect. The Event Overall I give it 10/10 and have already started discussing things we can do better from our side for next year. I feel at an event like the 24-hour, if you stay for 24 hours the more you plan, the better it will be. The basic ingredients are provided by the organizers but in order for you to enjoy it more, planning etc. from our side can make it all that much better. To that solo lady that did 20 odd laps well done - you are amazing. To all the solo and SS guys/girls well done To all those that took part well done, I'm sure everyone had a great enjoyable event, our team did and will be back next year for sure.

    2012 94.7

The Argus is very different. I enjoy the route more and much more spectators, although the 94.7 is gaining more public participation each year, with more people making a day of it. I think because the entire Cape is shut down for the day everyone comes out and enjoys the day with the riders.
  13. I Rode 2011 and 2012 2011: Start was not ideal - going through cars, over roads etc, Parking did not seem to be adequate Route was reasonable but markings at certain points very lacking Bottlenecks were a problem 2012: Start was perfect - roads for 1km then we hit the dirt Parking on Polo fields worked well Route seemed better and marking better - but could have been better in last 20km of 55km at certain points Bottlenecks were apparently better - I have none, but did get back while people were still walking over the fly-over bridge! The Powersol this year was great Could have had more seating by the finish maybe
