29er help needed

Hi there. I am 5ft 9 and have moved over from 26inch to 29inch. If your doing more marathon and less technical the 29er hardtail is maybe the way to go - then I would check out MOMSEN. If you do more technical stuff consider 26inch full suspension.

The 29ER rolls so easy and it's fast ...

 

Both have their ups and downs ... but long terms and the style of riding your interested in doing should be the deciding factor.

All depends on what you mean with "technical". We've been riding 29ers up and down Tokai, Majik, Jonkers and even Eden and it handles itself like a pro on the more technical stuff. Once you get used to riding a 29er it's not so much of an issue anymore.

Yeah, but now we are talking switchback tight. And ask yourself how many of those are there on your local ride and by comparison how much do you "loose" in these sections vs the rest of the ride.

Agreed, a test for me was the switchbacks at Meerendal and had no problems. Then on the plus side it just cruised up Meerendal hill with no problem.
