So much has been said about the difficulty of the Thaba Trail so we have listened and marked a 10km ride that is NOT difficult. If you follow the white stones with the yellow dot you are sure to enjoy jeep track and single track that won't raise your fears.. This is also the route we will use for the upcoming "fun ride" on the 13th May and then on June 3rd for the beginner and intermediate events at the "Thaba Toughee".

New are the two winding down hills incorporated in the JoJo valley. These are both still "work in progress" because we intend berming the bends for an exilirating decent in both instances.. just be aware of the game as they frequent this area in groups!!

We are busy with a trail that will be suitable for beginners and famalies and children, with distance options to suit riders desires and fitness levels.

We are going to regrade the entire park based on the IMBA system, but please be patiant we are working flat out, we are only a small team.

"ILLY" coffee available at the Thaba Kiosk on Saturday and Sunday mornings, where you can sit in the sun and boast about your improved MTB skills.

The Two Trees Bakery offers riders and family a great meal after your ride. They have swings and adventure obstacles for the children to have fun on.

Hi Wendell,

I keep on hearing about Thaba, here and from Werner and his dad / Gert.

Def be looking at coming, just my wife keeps on hearing it is so technical, glad to hear about the new yellow, ha d aloof, can clearly put a ride together thats between 6 and 16km, but what we saw it's mostly jeep track,

she's not at the green level, mind you neither am I, but we also not keen on 16km of jeep track,

Are there any plans for something in between the yellow jeep track and scary green monster,

also in the 16km range, but more technical than yellow but not as much as green?

Ok, Well made it an early Friday, and spoiled myself, well thats what I thought I was doing, went to Thaba... Since it was my first time there and 95% of all previous rides was Rietflei I decided to do Yellow 2, ye ye Wendell might call it Yellow 2, Jeep track, but you're either going up hill, or down a hill.

All went well up to the top, close to a section Wendell call Fences, at that point things went a bit wrong (marking...), figured it out when I was going up or was it down what might be home to a mountain goat, and all got clear when I went pass a board (from the wrong side) that said blue, only for experiences riders,

I though I was fit'ish, well that illusion has been blown out of the water.

Still smiling, even if though tired, maybe go and do it Sunday again.

Lovely venue, very different from Rietvlei.

Wendell, either some of your signs got stolen, or ... but there is some more needed.
