Fox DOSS seatpost

any reason you want that over the KS-i950R or the Rock Shox Reverb?

 

Don't get me wrong, I'm a Fox fan and would sell my firstborn for some Kashima Fox 40's...

 

but to me the DOSS has a clumsy remote design, and it's not infinitely adjustable. The KS and Reverb both offer 125mm drop, have was simpler remotes and are infinitely adjustable within that 125mm. Not to mention they are probably easier on the pocket than the DOSS.

 

Nope, no reason for choosing a specific brand. I've been looking for a dropper seatpost for a while now but never got so far to buy one. Just wondered about availability and price of the KS, Reverb and DOSS.

 

Who in JHB stocks any of these?

KS Lev will only be here in 6-8 weeks. It'll be about R2900 which is quite pricey. Normal KS posts are very good and should be available from any shop who stock Hope as they are imported by the same agents

Reverb is readily available from any RS dealer. If I remember correct they are about R3250 R2500

 

Doss will take a while to ship and will be expensive. Fox stuff always are. Like with the Reverb it'll probably be best to wait 6 months into first shipment before buying to give Fox the opportunity to sort out potential issues.

 

 

Reverb will be cheapest, by now they are proven, can service it at any LBS...your best bet.

KS is avalable from the guys at International Trading. (The SA Hope Agents). They go for around R2300 last time I checked. You can find their contact details on here

Reverb might be found off the shelf at some local LBSers, but CWC is probably your best bet. I bought mine form them It was cheaper than CRC, and it was here the next day.

As seen above, avoid the Crank Brothers if possible. Fox... I'm not sure about avalability and price.

 

Oh and what size is your seatpost... becaue if oyu're running a 27.2mm then unfortunately your choice is narrowed drastically

It doesn't. Still attached to the seatclamp so will move up and down with the seat.

International Trade are out of stock of the 30.9 KS seatposts. I think they still have a few 31.6 and plenty 27.2.

 

I think they are the only ones who do a colour kit so you don't have to stick with red.
