The battery of my polar watch goes flat on a training ride yesterday.

Call Polar this morning, the first time they can help is 8 May. This is shockingly poor service. Unless there is another place where I can change the battery on a 725 model it is no training recorded for almost 3 weeks. I have recorded every training session since October last year

Where else can I take this watch for a battery?

The arrogance of Polar is shocking. m2cw.

Did you not see or choose to ignore the low battery warnings that polar give before the battery goes flat?

Go to your chemist, buy a CR2354 battery. Get a small star screwdriver. Unscrew 4 screws on the back of the watch. Lift off the back being careful not to damage the o-ring. Remove and replace the battery. Refit the back cover.

Before you comment about waterproof etc, I've done this twice already in 9 years and have ridden some pretty wet trails. Polar are taking the piss.

Here's a dude with frontier survivor attitude, someone buy raceface_lefty a beer.

I always do the walk in booking thing as Clinton said. It is not rocket science to replace the batteries (I have the 720).

But what I can say, is that on two occasions I have had devices failing out of warranty and Polar replaced it at their costs, no questions asked as they deemed it manufacturing was faulty.
