Roald Amundsen; "There is no such thing as bad weather, only inappropriate clothing."

like this.

what do you wear on a cold winter morning?

Most years the roadie goes away after the Argus - and the MTB comes out on better days, spin on the really wet ones.

This year though is all different - no spinning, still training on the roadie even on the k*k wet days, and MTB when I have time. Got some decent wet/cold weather gear coming over from the UK in two weeks time. Hope it's better than what I have now, which is rubbish aside from one decent Polaris long sleeve jersey!

So as winter is approaching the thought of riding early in the morning is obviously not as appealing as it was a few weeks ago.

What generally happens to your training during winter:

  1. Do you train more?
  2. Do you train less?
  3. How do you keep motivated?

Personally, I am doing Sani2c and then intend having very little structure to training besides for my swimming which I intend to keep up with. I intend on going on lots of easy rides with mates which should ensure a healthy base come the warmer months and the next season.

What are your plans?

Yes dont forget the swimming. I stopped swimming about 6 weeks ago concentrating on running and cycling. Went swimming yesterday EEIISSHHHHH it was no joke. I spent 40 long arduous minutes in the pool. Felt like a first timer .... and so slow !!!!
