Im hearing of people waiting for years to get an entry for jhb2sea and Sani2c - what's the deal there, should I be getting on a list now if I ever want to do these and how does one get on a list?

I was on the Sani2C site, and I didn't find anything mentioning a list. All entry mentions are obviously full, but there is no mention of events to come.

Entry procedure for sani2c Trail

 

 

Entries for the sani2c Trail have been filled. If your team was accepted, you would have received your acceptance email by now. There are still some remaining teams who have been accepted that have not completed payment. The final date for payment to secure your entry is 17 October 2011 .

 

 

Entry procedure for sani2c Race and Adventure

 

 

 

The Rush Entry Process has come and gone. All those that can be Accepted into the Race or Adventure 2012 will have occured by 24 August 2012 .

 

If you have not heard from us by then, your team has not received an Accepted entry for the Race or Adventure.

 

 

Date Summary Description

Date: Thurs,

11 Aug 2011 Time: 12h00 – 21h00 New "Rush" Online entries open

Here you will be able to enter your ID number and basic details to determine if you will be on the Accepted List or the Waiting List.

 

Email confirmations will be sent to those on the Accepted List as a reminder to pay in the next phase.

 

Please note that only once entrants have paid will they have a confirmed spot in the sani2c 2012 races.

Should you be placed on the Waiting List, you will only be contacted should a spot open up.

 

No substitutions will be allowed to take place.

 

Date: Fri, 12 Aug – Mon, 15 Aug 2011 Time: tbc - 23h59 Accepted List riders can update details and pay

 

Accepted List riders will be able to login and update their details; select clothing sizes and pay online.

This year, the requirement will be to use a credit card for payment , so please have your credit card ready to pay for your team.

 

Please note that no Diners or American Express cards will be accepted. The payment will reflect as Entelect Online. Should you reverse your payment with your bank, your entry will be forfeited. No Electronic Fund Transfers (EFTs) will be permitted on the system.

 

No substititions will be allowed to take place.

 

 

Date: Tues, 16 Aug – Tues 30 Aug 2011 Time: 09h00 - 23h59 Resolution of Payments for Accepted and Paid Teams and Query List Acceptance.

 

 

Waiting List riders may be asked to fill available spots if any are available after the Query List.

 

 

For the available spots, Waiting List riders will be contacted in batches according to their number on the waiting list and required to pay within 48 hours by credit card. Please note that the clothing sizes selected at the end of this period will be final.

 

No substitutions will be allowed to take place.

Time: 09h00 - 23h59

 

Substitutions and changes open

 

The last date to confirm your clothing size was 11 October.

Once all registration spots have been filled, we will open the system to allow for substitutions. These can be done and paid for on the front-end, by the primary participant. If you have any problems, please contact Judy.

Date: Mon 7 May – 15 May 2012 Last week before registration Please note that no substitutions or changes will be allowed in this week. This is important to ensure a smooth registration and results process.

Last minute changes and substitutions will be permitted on the day.

I'm guessing that the website will give more info on the next event as soon as this one has been concluded. Perhaps a good idea to send them an e-mail asking for more info?
