  1. Good one, Race time 04:12 Time in saddle about 9 hours over the past 30 days, half of which was commuting. Should add, time in saddle over the past 180 days is also about 9 hours. Christie
  2. The whole of the N14 was tough for me. I was stupid enough to try and get up to pass someone on heartbreak hill and had both legs cramp solid. Luckily this happened right next to a physio who applied ice immediately. Had to walk for about 200meters and then I was ok to the end.
  3. There were quite a few timing mats along the way.
  4. What an awesome event! My first, did it in 4:12:43, will be way better prepared for Argus. I honestly can not think of anything serious to complain about. Spectators were awesome, shouting encouragement, spraying us with cold water, the sexy dancers weren't too bad either....lol. A Marathon runner friend of mine did it with no cycle training, and very poor bike preparation, had big mechanical issues, did it in 6 hours and loved every second. Events like these are so good for cycling. What a great high! Christie
  5. Bikes are on the car, leaving in 15 min. My first road race at 42y old!! Looking forward, hope everyone has a great race. Christie
  6. Collected my race pack this morning, went very well, took about 30 minutes, mostly coz I neglected to inform the friendly lady helping me that I'm riding with the FNB bond. Glad I missed the rush. Great vibe, many vendors, lots of goodies, unfortunately not many bikes to look at. Christie
  7. Just outside Potch this morning, this was standing in the middle of the road! Sorry about the rubbish pic, wasn't about to actually stop to take the pic.. CBS

  9. I'm guessing that the website will give more info on the next event as soon as this one has been concluded. Perhaps a good idea to send them an e-mail asking for more info? CBS
  10. OK, my reply might have been a bit short and unhelpful. Truth is, after replying I also went looking for the info on their website. I'm going to try sending them an e-mail asking for help. CBS
  11. Tonight at 10. Seems there is a daily highlights package.
  12. Just too flat here in Potch for pics of beautiful mountains, etc....
  13. How does it ride? As good as it looks?
  14. Freaky and impractical now, but what a great idea!
