Is it just my growing personal prejudice against the guy or was wiggo's speach well below par? I don't expect an a cyclist to be a poet or anything, but couldn't he have thanked his teamates in there somewhere (one of whom was standing next to him)

 

contrast him with Ernie who gave a humble off-the-cuff speach that credited his broader team and reached out to Adam Scott in a genuine way.
