Indoor trainer

Dof question I can imagine. Well then, all I would need is the link to previous discussions please.

It is too could to ride a bike outside. I need to buy an indoor trainer that can read power as well. It must be compatable with my brand new, best of all, top of the range, hot shot manne only, ... Garmen 910XT.

The power meter should preferably be on the trainer and not on the bike, because I'll be using my old bike for these indoor training expeditions.

How about a typical gym spin bike but with proper seat and handle bars such as the geometry of a TT bike?

Where do I buy this stuff please - thanx guys

yup yup

Rule #9

// If you are out riding in bad weather, it means you are a badass. Period.

Fair-weather riding is a luxury reserved for Sunday afternoons and wide boulevards. Those who ride in foul weather – be it cold, wet, or inordinately hot – are members of a special club of riders who, on the morning of a big ride, pull back the curtain to check the weather and, upon seeing rain falling from the skies, allow a wry smile to spread across their face. This is a rider who loves the work

TACX is probably the ideal trainer for you. it is a little bit pricey, however it has some awesome functions such as adjustable resistance as well as read outs onto a handlebar mounted display screen. if you google "TACX" indoor trainers you shoukd be able to find an outet or seller.

I was feeling the pinch of new baby, new business, lack of time. So I spent decent coin on a giant trainer as I let my Virgin membership die and thought a few hrs in the shed would help...

What a D*ck. spent money on the trainer, spent money on the 'special' red tyre, set the little b*stad up (taking about an hour after pinched inner etc)... and it's 100% pathetic. I actually missed a spinning bike and I felt dirty even admitting I used one of those.

Why did I actually strap my perfectly good bike that rides on the road for free into about R1000 worth of kit only to replicate pathetically what I can step out side of my front door with all my expensive winter kit, lights and all that stuff and do for free.

My name is Ben, I've strayed from rule 5 & 9. I am studying this this image and am pinning it to my eyeballs and am on the mend.

Think Sean would don a pair of shorts and spend an hour on a trainer when there was the chance of utterly ball freezing weather to ride in? Would he Fu*k.

Trainers are average but if anyone want to buy a nearly new Giant one and Vittoria IDT tyre? they rock... Call me. :)

PS check the poor motorola rider behind, out of the saddle and reaiising the the Mr Kellys leg are made out of 50% columbus SLX and 50% pure carved 'win'.
