Knysna 50km MTB Race

Looking for some feedback on the knysna 50km mtb race.

I am a newbie and need to know if the 50km is very technical. This will be my first mtb race.

Any advice will be appreciated.

Not at all except for about 50 m of single track as you descend towards the finish. And a bit muddy at times.

damn 2 years back it was a mud fest (the last section as you meet back up with the N2) people bitching and moaning like crazy. I loved it though.
