The Ghost Posted July 4, 2012 Share I have managed to get my tyres onto my new rims, with a tube inside; the problem is that the tyre is sitting nicely in the bead groove on one side, it is sitting deeper in the rim on the other side. I tried to lower the pressure and manipulate it with my hands, but I cant get it to be even. Please help.
The Ghost Posted July 4, 2012 Share Is it just because I need to bomb it to get it to sit on the bead?
Captain Fastbastard Mayhem Posted July 4, 2012 Share Generally, yes. But try to soap the bead first. That'll help it to slip on to the right pozzie. Soap = sunlight...

Anine Posted July 4, 2012 Share mtb tyre? I had real skinny conti slicks years ago that would NOT seat correctly without sunlight liquid and rapid over-inflation at the petrol station. the bang gave the petrol jockeys a kick
