This is just a small product review.

Some time ago PbP2??? introduced us all to www.zonefivesoftware.com and sporttracks as an alternative way of managing or GPS and HR data. There is now a upgrade to this product which is worth considering, that is Sporttracks 2. It requires .net 2 framework to run. Initially I thought that it was more of the same, but after playing with it now for a few hours, I realise that it has much more potential than I orginally realised. I recommend that you download as many of the pluginns that you see fit. THese plugin provide specific functionality such as power calculations, fitness calculations, inport from cyclosport HRM, powermeter addons wealth functionality ext ext ext. If you have a garmin this is the prefered software, and with all the added plugins most gadgets can be imported into sporttracks.

Really try it.

The programme has a power calculator plugin that calculates your power output based on speed, incline, weight, and equipment.

I just wish they would get the Timex data recorder import running in 2.0 then Thumbs%20Up

In the meantime still with 1.3 (nearly 2 years now!) and happy!

This is one of the cool things with sporttrack2, you just go to the directory where polar has saved all your files.  It normally is in programmefiles/polar/yourname/2008/

select all the files you want to import (in the ST1 you could only select one at a time) and press import ST@ does most of the background admin for you.  Just check that it does not update other tracks instead of saving them as new tracks.

good luck

I have posted to graphs to show some of the functionality of ST2. The first is the elevation of my daily trip to work. THE second shows the power utput (according to the power calculator plugin)
