I wouldnt do it to mtbs with shocks, road bikes will be fine

I think this is the best idea for restricted space but it will cost you a bit.

 

 

 

 

 

Yes these are great - around R900 - R1300 depending on where you shop.  Don't be too fooled though. You still need a bit of space to manouvre around them when loading and unloading.  Perhaps better suited for display purposes than "frequent use"

If you hang an MTB up by it's front wheel you invert the shocks so th oil runs to the top. Then you have to let it stand for 20 - 30 min before riding it, for the oil to migrare down to the bottom again. So i would hang it by the back wheel, the oil will stay at the bottom of the shock.

 

I hang my road bike by the front wheel, never had a problem.

I use the hooks...Works well...Interesting info from Madmarc on the shocks...Will have to take my daughter's bike off the hook earlier before she goes out...
