I just love comments like these .Every athlete has an expiry date, for him to perform at the level he has in XC for the past few years is nothing short of phenomenal.Sauser is the most winning mountain biker of our era, he didn't make Olympic selection because the new KIDS are faster and younger and more fearless. He will concentrate solely on Marathons I believe.I will never forget watching the second MTB Olympics where Frischnecht led for around 80 % of the race. Popeye, my favorite Belgian decided screw this and opened up the taps and the only two athletes he could drag with him was Martinez and Suzie. Martinez took gold and has since faded in to obscurity, Popeye took silver and was caught doping Suzie on the other hand to this day is still at the top level of the sport, no podiums on XCO but still exceptionally awesome results.
