I see a lot of guys on the roads nowadays - a lttle less over the last few cold weeks, but still a few regulars.

Who are you, and what's your route?

I ride mostly every day from Queenswood to Garsfontein, sometimes adding miles by going past Capital Park and Woodhill.

What do you ride? This morning there was a crapton of cyclists (most on MTB's) on the roads :)

Raleigh Road Bike (Black and Red frame). Always cylce in TCS kit. But I normally only pass through there between 7:30 and 8:15. Depending how strong the magnetic fields is under my bed ;)

This past Saturday I saw the coolest thing ever! An Old Oomie en Tannie (I would say 70+) cycling on the path opposite of Bruce Reyneke in Lynnwood road. They looked so chuffed with themselves, smiling and waving with their helmets on and casual clothes. Freaken awesome

I also noted that the amount of bikes on the roads are picking up. There is this other old Oomie communting down Voortrekker and then down Soutpansberg. Respect to all the senior peeps. When I grow old, I want to be like that!

I work in Melrose Arch, recently started commuting from Centurion to work. Good training 36km with 700m ascent, coming back is downhill though.

What's your route? I want to cycle from Rosebank to Centurion. Not to keen to cycle through Wynberg though (which will be the shortest route)...

Grondpad, if it's the same oomie I'm thinking about, he goes up Duncan road after Soutpansberg, then into church (in the afternoons)

I vary my (morning) route, from straight over Stead / Duncan into Brooklynn then onto Garsfontein, to taking Pierneef out o Frates, Soutpansberg back to kilnerton, then Brooklyn to Fountains, then Klapperkop to Garsfontein :) Those afternoons I generally take the shortest way home :) On a black and green Axis A10 MTB

I use the old Pretoria road all the way to Corlett. The first 2km is a bit dodge, but haven't had anything that made me uneasy, and the best p[art is just after Midrand (in your case) there is a realy awsome jeeptrack on the far lefthand side.
