Route description:

 

The 54km route consists of about 90% jeep track. The climbs are mainly rocky and technical. Rewarding views of the Olifants River valley awaits the effort. Some fast down hills with hair raising bends. This route requires fit and experienced riders. Good climbing skills are necessary. Rocky hills and sandy tracks will definitely test your skills and abilities.

 

The 32km route is mainly jeep track. The climbs can be rocky in some places and also very steep. At the top of the climbs the rider will be rewarded with stunning views of the valley and surroundings (if there is time to look around). For fit riders this will be a walk in the park, for the not so fit it will be harder, but an unforgettable challenge.

 

The 10km is an easy ride through the vineyards.

 

Loads of lucky draw prizes, including a sheep(cut and packed)

Medals for the first 100 riders of the 30km and 54km routes

 

Slime and tire liners recommended.

No helmet , no ride.

 

This event is part of the Namaqua Huisgenoot festival.

I did a route check yesterday and the area look beautiful.

If you enter, remember to put slime in your tires. Last year a lot of people came here without any protection against thorns.

No, there is a small change. We took out a piece of sandy track, but added another downhill and a climb.

Jaco, ek vergeet om te se dat die 30km het redelik verander. Hulle gaan nie meer oor skaapkop nie. Die mense het gekla dat die 30 km roete te moeilik was en ons het dit toe maar verander.

Nog net n paar dae oor om online in te skryf. Julle kan wel nog die oggend ook kom inskryf.

Groot prysgeld vir die lang afstand vanjaar. Ons borg bevestig later vandag, dan sal ek die bedrae opsit. Baie lucky draw pryse ook.
