It's seems very odd that no-one from the shop noticed that before, the have to PDI the bike. This could have resulted in a terrible accident, basically its not good enough from the LBS :thumbdown: , and I would be having stern words.

 

Sorry, Incorrect term used on my part. There was thread but it wore away enough for the bolts to fall off.

stopped at the lbs this morning. caliper is threaded and not the frame. caliper is back on the bike, but they still don't have an explanation to how it happened and if it will or wont happen again. :mellow:

Once after riding at Kings kloof I had to lift my bike over that farm gate by the dam. As I lifted my bike ober I noticed the bolts on the front caliper were missing. Luckely they fell out as I was lifting the bike over and not on the trail otherwise I might not have been able to type this. What happened was that the lbs did not put on longer screws when they installed the bigger rotor...
