Just wondering if there are any pitfalls with buying polar heart rate/computers from international retailers. i.e. import duites, local support, use of local online resources?

Any feedback will be appreciated.

Thanks... any specifics as to why? also more details regarding import vs buying local would be appreciated...

The list as to why is really toooo long to type out again.

Do a search in the box, top right.

Garmin vs Polar

Garmin vs Bryton

Garmin

Garmin Edge 500

Garmin comes out top every time.

Garmin offers an International warranty for around R450 if you imported it.

If you buy it local, as in walk in to the shop and get it there and then, I can set it up, give you a quick tutorial and show you things it can do that you would have never thought of

Garmin Edge 500 - best bang for buck. I have one and I'm very happy with it. That sentiment is shared by quite a few Hubbers. www.easygis.co.za have the best prices IMHO for these and other Garmin products
