Hi all

I'm considering these tires for commuting, is any one else using these for the same purpose? And what are your thoughts?

I've been riding Gator Skin's and though they are great in resisting punctures they seem to be taking a beating on the side walls...

Schwalbe Marathon Plus are incredible commuter tyres.

I would go for these - most long-distance tourers use these, and they are extremely puncture resistant with the smartguard layer.

I have Continental CX Pro 40c tyres on my cyclocross bike, and they are holding up well too.

If you do serious mileage, the Marathon plus are the best.

Thanks

I do about 800km commuting a month...

I don't do Cyclocross as a sport, I was looking at above mentioned tires for their "tough" ness...

I have Swalbe Sammy Slick tyres on my CX bike and the are also holding up well but would still go with the Marathon Plus as a commuter. I had them as slicks on a Niner and although not heavily ridden, were brilliant.

When it comes to road tires I'm a Coni fan!

Me too!

Gatorskins on my SS and my road bike, CX Pros on my cyclocross bike!

I had the marathon plus tyres on my mtb when I was commuting to work last year.
