Hi guys

I want to ask something regarding my training for the k2c.

I did the dieburger mtb challenge here in stellies and i'm ride 3/4 times a week, so think i'm on the right track. I saw in the latest bicycle mag that there are some hill training exercises. But seeing that there is less than a month left before the k2c will it make a difference to my fitness if i start doing hill training once/twice a week now?

Kind regards

Yes, start training hills mate as when your at the 75Km mark with not much left guess what......yet another steady 10km incline to look forward to. I needed another pair of legs and eneded up walking. Yes, I know, I walked. I just had nothing left. Finally reached the top and glided the last 5k's down.

Other than that it sounds like your fairly fit 'n ready. Remeber, the climbs aren't steep they're relatively easy climbs so your brain goes "ahh, no probs this is an easy 1" but in reality the climbs are loooooong 'n steady which ended up killing my stamina and legs.

Enjoy. I'm not cycling it this year (getting married) but will next year. oh, remeber to start tapering off ur training inthe last 2 weeks before.Good luck
