Time for this ride to get its own home!

Not sure how I'm going to reconcile "easy gears, flat to somewhat hilly route & 55-70% MHR" with this

Hey Robo, must've missed you today. Sounds like you had a tough one as well. You keen to do SBR again soon?
If it involves riding my bike, then YES! How about this weekend?
I don't know what SBR is, but it sounds like a road ride (maybe a route in the South?) ...so if its a road training ride on Sunday, I would like to join please..
SBR = Suikerbosrand. 57km of hills. About 1200m ascent in that time! Here is the loop on Strava Keen?
Sounds good. 7am in the car park?

Keen to join on Sunday? See you there? R30 entrance to the reserve (R20 per car, R10 per adult or vice versa)
Perfect. Keen to do more of an endurance ride.
It's a 140km drive (70km one way) for a 60km ride?? Will it be worth the while?
Do it. SBR is awesome.
i often have to trek to the cradle for rides (all close to 130km), i might this weekend trade my cradle ride on saturday for a ride with you guys on sunday
I think I'll also join you guys on Sunday.
i will either join you guys on sunday or go to PTA for the SilverOaks, not too sure yet, but leaning towards SBR at the moment, seems there will be a nice crowd.... hopefully i can grab onto someone and get pulled up those nasty climbs!! hahahahah

you cant miss the parking lot, its where everyone goes lol, you can ask security,

it all depends where you coming from but for me its about a 25 minute drive, i live in the Bassonia/Glenvista area

Yip, I'm tempted!

Just be careful, the descents are quite technical with a few tight corners. When I lived in jhb I did a lot of training there, and I had a few close calls on some those corners.

The parking lot is easy to find, the guy at the gate will give you directions to the parking lot as well.

yes i agree with Brian, the descents are tough in some sections, but i am careful, i dont take chances on the bends, yes i know a little bit of a woes hahahahah

Is it quite easy to find the "parking lot"...and how long does it take to drive there?

Parking is easy to find. Come in through the north gate and keep going. You'll see where it is.

It takes about 40min to get there from near the Joburg Zoo.

No route markers for the road ride but since it is basically a 57km one way loop it's kind of hard to screw it up. You can get a map from the office if you are directionally challenged
