My daughter (7) is keen on riding a MTB. I have decided to get her a bicycle however I am not sure how to properly fit a bicycle to a child.

Can you please share some advice.

Many thanks

Unless she's extremely tall, at 7 just get her a 20'' and get her comfortable on that. My 6 y/o daughter was a bit undersized but growing into the 20 just fine. Braking with the small hands are still somewhat less than optimal, but she's getting there.

Think "full-sized" bikes might still be too large.

Just my 2c - YMMV.

See if you can find someone who stocks KHS bikes

They have excellent quality kids bikes with decent components that do not cost a fortune and will retain their value when your kid out grows it and you want to sell it.Do not buy the wrong size just so it lasts longer

Find a decent bike shop.

Try Linden Cycles in Linden if you are in that area - speak to Jo - the owner.

+1 on the Linden Cycles. Got my daughter, age 8 of slight build, a Titan Calypso Girls bike. And Linden do a followup service included.
