Yes, although it's a prototype http://www.bikerumor.com/2011/02/23/spy-shots-trek-29er-downhill-mountain-bike-prototype/

Other companies (Intense) are also working on a prototype, I think. And I saw an article recently that said that someone is planning a 27.5 (650b) DH bike. http://www.bikeradar.com/mtb/news/article/new-intense-m9275-downhill-bike-prototype-uses-650b-wheels-eurobike-2012-35228/

For a smoother ride.

but i personnaly think they will never become big because they are not as responsive, don't corner as well, jump as well or accelerate as well as a 26.

I am interested to know. Do downhill bikes also come in 26 and 29" versions?

Besides the prototypes, Lenz has a production 29er DH bike. (note the use of Manitou Dorados to avoid clearance issues.

Don't listen to Google... he's been riding his 29er hard tail so much that he can't even remember what his DH bike looks like

...ok, actually do listen to him. He's right about the jumping, cornering response and acceleration handicaps of a 29er... but then again, he knows everything... he's Google! haha!

yeah, I'd also rather be walking down the track than do it on a 20-naai-ner
