  1. I had a problem with my ET and they sorted out a warranty for me quick quick. Was quite surprised actually.
  2. Hi Guys I would like to tap into your collective fountain of coffee knowledge. I'm currently looking at getting a machine and grinder for around 10k. A mate of mine has a Breville combined espresso machine and grinder. It pulls a decent shot and is in my price bracket. What is your guys opinion of it and would you recommend something else instead maybe like a combo? Thanks Luke
  3. I saw there was a photographer at the end. Anybody know where the pics will go up?
  4. Rode with the UCT crew. We managed a sub 5:30 and but just missed the top 10 with 11th. Considering we are in the middle of exams (most had a exam the friday evening and the upcoming week) and that many, like me, had never done a DC it was a decent result. Can truly say its one of the best road events around, the sense of unity you get as a team while climbing those final rollers full gas in the pouring rain was truly amazing.
  5. On race day you should eat at least 2 hours before you start. This will give your body the best energy levels for a race and also helps with any nausea issues if you get those with race nerves. I personally would add a egg to your future life and banana. But only if you are comfy riding on a egg as it does give you really good sustainable energy. Don't change to much else to your morning meal other than eating it 2 hours before . The most important eating period is 18-24 hours before your race as this is when the body can create good glycogen stores so eat good carbs and drink plenty of water.

  7. Swift has really good after sales service. As they are a partly south african brand they have quite a big branch in cape town and its a bunch of great guys who run it. Ive just been dealing with them about getting a D-Vore and they where super helpful!
  8. Program wise Trainingpeaks is probably in a legue of its own as far as it goes for online software. Great Data and allows easy feedback from coach. Team Sky uses it if im not mistaken. As far as coaches go all are equal except for Bruce Diesel who is the best. He has really helped my riding huge. Taking me from finishing 8th in national mtb races to sprinting for the win all in 8 months!!
  9. looks like a crank, a pedal based unit and one more?
