shifter placement

Hi all.

 

I Have set my brake levers for 1 finger brakeing. the shifter is now far away from my thumb.

 

sould i remove the indicator and place the shifter on the grip side of the brake lever for easier shifting? can this be done?

Firstly, I applaud you for moving the brake levers in. Most people I see have this wrong... Make sure the levers are also in the same line (angle) as your arm.

 

Secondly, Indicator windows should be removed as a matter of course.

 

And lastly...

Will your shifters still work outside your brakes, closer to the grips? Yep.

Will you be able to find a good position for your fingers on the shifters? Very likely.

Will they look okay there? For sure.
