Incredible ride again this morning. Hot as hell but very good. Good strong group.

Also had a very nice ride at 14:00 again. Super impressed with the Warrior Princess' sister in law. First time on the trails and she didnt get off once to push.

Im a little flat battery at the moment. Will post photos and more info tonight.

Thanks for the ride this morning it was pretty damn awesome. It was also a great introduction into ssing and discovered when I got home that I was fighting my rear brake as well. All during the ride I had a song stuck in my head. Half way through the ride I realised that the songs name is salt skin by Ellie Goulding. I mentioned this to sir m and it turned out that he also had one of her song stuck in his head. What coincidence

Sir M maybe next time we will try NOT break a chain on a flat?

But as I said it was a great morning out.

Post ride report time.

I broke my chain again. Yes, again :( time to retire the old goat and get a new one. Not bad considering its the original that came with the bike in 2004. Mons100, i am forever in your debt for helping with the quick link.

DeltaAlphaMike has now turned to the dark side of SS while singing Ellie Goulding songs to himself. Yes, us SS guys are a strange breed. I also had one of her songs in my head. Strange strange strange. Guess that would make her the official artist of the SFU group.

Mons100 showed that nothing on the trail will ever get her down. She stopped just before on of the gnarly drops on the trail, smiled and said with the most confident voice "yes, i can do this". That section is officially her bitch now. Nice!

Mr and Mrs =Bones= showed us that couples can ride together without falling behind on purpose to frolic in the bushes or to kill each other. I saw a lot of smiles from both of them as they took each other on in playful sprints. Mr =Bones=, thank you for the water to help clean the old oily paws after fixing the chain. Somehow you have a magic bottle there. I remember seeing it later in the morning quenching the thirsts of many riders.

Lock4 didn't get the memo that this wasn't a race. The pace early on was quite fast and everybody warmed up quickly. We settled down a bit and got into a smooth rhythm. I hope you get the crank issue sorted on your bike. Ive heard that noise before and prolonged riding would have done damage. Ill check up during the week with you.

Nairda again pitched up with the nicest bike for the day. That Lynskey just oozes quality and makes me very sad everytime I see it. Sir, you are a true gentleman helping out the lady on the pink single speed with a plug for the hole (wait...) in her tyre and then later to help me get the pesky quick link locked in place.

Sidewinder did not try to kill anybody today nor himself. We all made it home safe and in one piece. His new helmet is also still in one piece and his hands are not all burnt crispy again by the sun. Great to see how quickly your skills are improving.

Skandalis has developed the keen sense to know exactly when a fallen comrade needs a chocolate Steri-Stumpi to bring you back to life. He has a very keen sense of direction and really helped to prevent us all from getting lost. However, i found out later he was following me and I was following him. Just glad we all aren't still there.

All in all another fantastic ride. Really looking forward to the next one.

I have to agree - I had a great ride dispite the heat (afternoon must have been even hotter). Nice to meet everyone and put faces to the names/hubbers. Thanks again to all!! .... especially to Maxxis for organising
