I need some help pls. My new cannondale came with FSA blades, spider and crank. Now my crank is making a terrible noise whe n i exert a lot of pressure eg standing and pedling. As per cyclelab its the "spider" (first time i hear this term) that has come loose. on a normal crank its apparently very easy to fix by only tightning some l-key bolts but the fsa system apparently does not work the same. basically cyclelab is not sure whether they need a special tool to tighten the crank or have to replace under warranty.

has anyone perhaps had the same expeirence with fsa cranks and know whether such a tool exist? this not affecting the performance of the bike but just makes horrible noise when i need to up the pace

if it's new, take it back and get them to fix it

that being said i've heard there is some sort of a problem with fsa cranks wrt them loosening (do a search) - sounds like a design flaw - all the more reason to take it back and get the bike shop to sort it out - this shouldn't be your problem.

let us know what happens

Change your LBS or google it and fix it yourself.

That way it would be done at a standard you will be satisfy with.

Sorry, but I dont know anything about "dales or FSA's

All the best though.

I seem to say this A LOT on the forums:

FSA agents are International Trade. Speak to Jason 011 781 5324 or PM him 4barlinkage.

Awesome!! Thanks a lot! Cyclelab managed to get their number as well after email correspondence, seems they changed phone lines without updating their website. Lets hope for a speedy reply and repair....
