Got a BB30 frame coming my way, and looking to get kitted out for BB30 work.

Seems a range of tools: to press the bearings in and remove them. Pro Shop ones look way fancy and $$$, what do you peeps use?

CRC has some cheapish FSA ones, that require external press (I guess).

See some other FSA mentioned in their tech documents EE037 and EE038 that one uses a wrench on but seems a bit harder to find

CWC has some Ice Tools @ R399 each

And this gizmo?

There are some fancy tools around, some for fitting and removing the bearings in the frame and others for servicing the bearings themselves. Of the ones I've seen I like the Enduro one (Rushsports) the best. Must admit that in our workshop the prefered method of installation is the large bench vise and two people. Removal is more difficult (unless you don't need to reuse the bearing) - then we use the Shimano tool (similar to the one in the Enduro kit). I have the Enduro suspension bearing press set which comes with BB30 fitting discs similar to the FSA one above.

Thanks for the contribution Chowder, I took a look on the Rushsports web site, what they list as a BB30 Bottom Bracket Tool is for external BB Cups - as the listed video shows, and its R2k :o

I've ordered those FSA entry level tools. What I see as the main issue is to drive the bearings in square, so some blocks of wood and a large G Clamp, or a bench vice should suffice. Extracting will require a suitable size driver and some accurate whacking.

That FSA gizmo is for pre-loading the bearings to reduce crank play, not to sure if that's just for the FSA ones.

Made my own. Threaded rod, 2 plywood discs, 2 nuts and Bobs your Uncle! Total cost about R10.00. If you are not making a living out of this there is no need to spend 2 k on a press.

I am really pleased with the BB30 on my Dale. Awesome system.
