On a more serious note .

 

Roboluke, unless you are riding around with a body fat percentage of 10 % or less, your body has more than enough resources allowing you not to bonk.

The reason people hit the wall is that they go way too hard at the start taking energy from their kidneys ,the one area where there is energy but not enough.

 

There is no need to go from the start like a bat out of hell, keep the heart rate below 80 or preferably 75 % and you will metabolize the bodies natural carbohydrates.

 

Hydration is where it's at, drink and drink as you feel thirsty.

My beer...best of both worlds......although after 42min & 27 seconds, Bonking is the last thing I worry about :whistling:
