There is a 2.25" Nobby Nic Snake Skin on the catalog.

I have no idea who may have them in stock though.

If you dont want to go that wide, look at the Conti range. Mountain, X or Race King Protection.

They are 2.0", I think.

Good decision!

Went to the LSB yesterday to pick mine up! Ended up leaving my new pride and joy at the LBS - The first time your bike gets wet shouldn't be on its way home!

Managed to squeeze in a quick round the block a the LBS - Very happy!

I'll do that, will be doing the crater on the hard tail. I will only get to ride her :whistling: (the anthem) next week.

How was the crater on the new bike?

Just been for my first ride, I suppose like anything new " it feels fantastic  "!

Will have to get used to the 2 x 10 and my wrists got sore, will check the set up.

Did a bit of single track, great smooth ride, but after the craters "sinkplaat" on the hardtail yesterday anything will feel smooth.

Overall first impression

NICE!!!

Lets be honest its a good idea to buy a new bike its probably not such a good idea to be on it for 106km the first time out...

Hands also got a a bit sore, I think its because of:

a. the wide handlebar - this is my first 29er and not use to the width

b. cockpit setup needs some adjusting, i am moving my hands around too much

Apart from that it goes like a rocket, the nobby nic's are great at the front soooo glad fitted them! they were a bit lose on one or two corners in the dry conditions but I still need to play with tire pressures etc. so I am sure I will sort it out!

Love the adjustable suspension on the SID especially with variable conditions like the CC. 2 x 10 is also new to me but I do feel that there are enough gears and the bottom and low gear is sufficient. If I drop a couple kgs I might even opt for the 28/40 at the front when riding in joberg and move to 26/38 when doing the hilly stuff but enjoying the beer way too much at the moment to waste my time on that!

Very happy with the purchase!

Be wary of the new Fox forks their service intervals are ridiculously short, something like 30-50hrs of riding and they are expensive to service

the anthem advanced comes out with a SID and Monarch combo, but thax also heard that will have to go book that service lesson at yellowsaddle sometime soon the GF is running fox front and rear...
