Installing Brakes

Hi Guys,

 

Just received my new Avid brakes from CRC. Just a quick question. "Installing"the brakes, Is this something I can do myself or should it be given into a shop.

Do it yourself, its really easy. Trickiest part is lining up the calipers, but theres hordes of you tube vids showing you how to do it.

If you don't have to do any re-plumbing, its easy, as the goose says, just line 'em up.

And don't squeeze the levers if there's nothing to squeeze. Other than that, if the cabling is done, easy as pie.

Are you keeping your old brake pads / rotors? Giving the rotors a nice clean might not be a bad idea if you are busy anyway.
