Mugging-near Croydon on R102

I was mugged on Thursday the 11 October on the R102 about 200m west from the Croydon estate entrance just after 15h00. I was taken off the bike at about 35Km/h.

I had a mild concussion and memory loss of the specific day' activities.

Manage to get the bike back with the help of some bystanders.

I just wanted to ask, is it safe traffic wise and otherwise to cycle there.

 

Thinking of doing R44 from stellies, R102 and then back on Polka - in a group, should be fine right?

I'm quite sure it would be fine in a group. I've been riding past there (as well as under Henk's bridge where he was mugged) for years without issue. And when they are finished resurfacing the road it will be nice and fast!

The Blackheath-Eerste River zone is definitely a hot spot.

There's strength in numbers. It's the solo rider that's very vulnerable.
