AndrewH Posted October 28, 2012 Posted October 28, 2012 Hi, Anyone ridden or purchased this bike? Looking at purchasing one, tried to get hold of a large anthem x0 2012 model for a good price but it looks like no one has stock.
Cassie Posted October 28, 2012 Posted October 28, 2012 I have just returned from a 40km maiden ride on my new "girlfriend"....had to wait almost 3 weeks for her delivery!!My previous girlfriend was a Merida TFS900 hard tail (for 4 years) and I enjoyed her.... BUT - this new lady in my life has certainly turned things upside down... Lots of new features to get used to: (1) 29er - the move up to 29er was a smooth transition...I expexted much more "getting used to"....it was an instant transition...(2) the 2x10 set-up front - being a dude that liked his "granny" on most climbs...once again...the transition to the two blade front was dead easy!! I faced some serious steep climbs this AM...and deliberately focussed on how the smaller blade would asssit me. Once again, the gear ratios are very different, but the ones for climbing those steep hilles are more than OK for me...I'll survive after all!!(3) Dual suspersion - something brand new for me. I did "notice" a bit of bob&weave when I'm engaged in a smooth rythm on the road (leading to the single track paradise). But I'm sure that it will not be a problem - I still need to figure out the proper working and dial in of the Fox shock in any case!! Overall - loved the ride...my ass was a bit tender as the Fizik saddle is slightly narower than my previous one, so I might swap that for something more comfortable in the long run. Apart from that...great ride...me & my girlfriend will share many happy hours on the trails together!!
arendoog Posted October 29, 2012 Posted October 29, 2012 I am on my 2d anthem .Currently on 2012 model x 29er .These are wonderful bikes .Great package with the x model .Full XT and carbon frame with alu rear triangle,fox shock and fork .Proven geometry and maestro susp

Hi There Andrew I Have a Anthem 2012 X0 29er Medium Tho, Coming From a Specialized Epic Large, it fits Very Cumfy..Selling It for R20k if you keen, Have had it for a month..With DT Swiss Wheels instead of the Standard Giant Wheels
