Groenkloof parking lot. The majority will be slow, unskilled riders. Actually I'm glad there will be a good number of experienced guys attending to assist.

yeah, I don't pedal too good. I also don't know how to fix punctures. So these experienced guys must stay close to help me with stuff like that

Me too. My back tends to play up quite a bit during puncher repair time.

Good point. Can these experienced guys cycle with one hand on their handlebars and one hand pushing me up the hills?

Yeah. But when tubeless goes wrong it is much more of problem than a mere puncture.

From his VleisBoek this morning: "Betadine, brufen, surgical plaster. At least my bike is ok."

Wattaman, even if he's as slow as James May.

I had a major wipeout earlier this year just before that downhill along the fence ,lost alot of skin, still got the scars to prove it.So I definitely know what he is feeling.

Only if you sit at the back. Then we'll see how good you are.

No witty or even remotely funny reply to that one.I guess every group needs a mascot, seems like there is a place for people like me after all...

There are a few places along there where you can get it very wrong even if you're a good rider. I followed one of the better trail riders down there and he had a spectacular off in front of me. Of course we were going pretty quickly.
