  1. Started with Killing Eve after reading about it on here. Not something I would typically watch ,but surprisingly good. Jodie Comer plays Villanelle really well plus she isnt bad looking either. Sandra Oh started irritating me in Greys Anatomy, but overall quite an enjoyable show.
  2. What works equally well is Hydro Flask. on Takealot....but just had a quick look and Lizzard is very well priced. I have a 1L Flask and bought it a year ago for R900. We leave at 6am for school, fill flask with ice, then around 2pm before hockey games, son uses it to mix his drinks. 90% ice still intact. Will Def consider some Lizzard in future. Generally found most double walled insulated flasks/mugs are equally good. My wife does sublimation and the skinny tumblers she uses (about R140) also keeps the stuff very cold. Fill at night with ice and rest water, next morning still some ice in it.
  3. I am not sure, we just opted for the normal clear lens with anti glare coating
  4. Hi All Just some update on my initial post We considered all the available options. 1. Contact lenses of any kind were out of the questions 2. Optical inserts are great but have limitations with regards to blindspots etc especially if you use it for other sports. 3. We considered Rudy Project where you get the clip-ins into the frame. How that works your buy sunglass frame, buy the inserts and then the lenses. Frame 2400. Inserts 1000 and lenses 1250. 4. We finally settled for these Under Armour frames. Took my son to Spectacle Warehouse in Atterbury yesterday and took his current script for lenses with. he decided on the white frame. These frames are sold with the inserts for lenses ( the grey part). All in all I paid 3800 for frame and lenses and he will be getting them tomorrow. second pic is how they frame and glasses fit from the side. very comfy and dont move at all. I just want to thank each and everyone for their comments, information and advice. Martin sent me a lot of additional info as well. Glad we ended up with what we did. So for those in Pretoria area looking for an option like this, it wouldnt hurt to go to Spectacle warehouse. very impressed.
  5. thanks to all for the replies. and once again to Martin for reaching out to me yesterday. As my son will use this for cricket, we decided to investigate options for sport sunglass frame with his prescription lenses. Looking at the different options. As my optometrist can arrange through oakley for clear polycarb lenses we consider that. Can get refurbished Racing Jacket frames for good price from Revu Replacement lenses. Other option will be to go the route Martin suggested through Aliexpress As mentioned, contact lenses would be ideal, BUT my guy cant get himself to the point of putting contact on eye yep, did some research on that, and especially with cricket, blind spots can be disasterous
  6. Good Afternoon! OK, so my son has to wear glasses permanently. He plays cricket and field hockey. and we go on rides now and then over weekends when there is time. He got new frame last week, and while it is nice and light, it still doesn't sit tight. we had it adjusted. They played cricket over the weekend, it went well batting wise, but while fielding and bowling it was a bit of an issue. Our optometrist, said yes they can do Oakley Frames with his prescription which will be in region of R6500. I am leaning more towards the optical insert option, which will be cheaper in the longrun, but optometrist dont stock those. between Rudy project and Adidas, what options are there as the inserts are about R1500. We tried contact lenses, but that didnt go too well. any input, suggestions and comments are welcome thank you!
  7. Did my return on the 1st. (Friday). refund was paid in early this morning. when they sms/email you the statement of account, know refund will almost be paid. It's either within 3 business days or 72 hours. The systems they have in place where you are supposed to check status of refund are useless. But anyways, at least I can refuel my bakkie a few more times than I thought 🤣
  8. Thats exactly the approach we follow with my Son, although he is only in Gr 7 this year, he has his schoolwork and has been in Top 10 Since Gr4, but he does Sports at school, plays club cricket as well, and take art and guitar lessons in between everything else. We also make time to get on the golf course and go fishing when time allows. I believe balance is key, and rather a well rounded individual than 14 Distinctions
  9. Hi, I have very limited experience from different bakkies, so will just share from my perspective. Had a Navara long ago, very comfy and almost SUV type ride. Got me a used Isuzu Dmax 250 in April. Had 65000 on the clock and paid 320K. previous owner put on these nice mag wheels and canopy and it has on of those android type radios with reverse camera. Mine is a fairly bottom of the range model. But, interior is very neat, good quality and nothing too fancy. Took some getting used to drive wise (coming from Xtrail). It's a bit hard to drive but you get used to it. fuel consumption averages around 9.4l/100km combined usage. Nothing too fancy, but now we have enough space when going to ride somewhere or camping and fishing. No rattles whatsoever. And while its under a service plan stil, services arent expensive. it's not a flashy bakkie, not quick of the mark, but very decent and a workhorse with enough power. think this is a keeper. But go and see for yourself. Either way, I dont think any of your options besides the GWM would be a bad choice.
  10. Awesome thanks, will do wife's taxes tomorrow and have a look
  11. Good Morning All Just finished my e-filing, currently isolating due to covid so slept the whole of yesterday so now missioning around the house with soothing snoring sounds in the background ????...anyways Just a question: My SWAMBO worked from home from 16 March last year. We have all the required documents (letter from her employer confirming this) When I did mine, (just 2 months as home last year) didnt see anything anywhere where you could select an option relating to work from home. Did a calculation on TaxTim and have a good estimate amount. So my actual question is how and where can you claim that? Thanks
  12. Thought I was the only one that enjoyed it....Just irritated that we have to wait so long for season 3 again, Cant believe they only put 6 episodes in a season ????
  13. OK, yeah depending on how many you are and how long you are planning on going away. I see that there is either a 80L stainless steel one or a 75L plastic one on that website as well. Very reasonable prices. We have a Snomaster 65 L Fridge Freezer. Can choose which compartment to use for freezer (Pretty much same specs as the two I mentioned above) For our Camp in December (we were 4) we packed all our meat in freezer part and managed for stuff like margarine, milk etc in fridge and it lasted well. I paid 10500 for ours. Meanwhile I also got an Ice Machine for some "vuil cokes" and all that you know. Best for me is to physically go to a store where I can look and fiddle with the stuff. Found that stores like OUtdoor Warehouse and Camp & Climb have good options. Then if you find it at better prices online, you at least know what you're buying. Just take the measurements of the one you are planning to buy into account as well when you are packing for a trip or whatever. I had an Xtrail and our fridge/freezer took up most of the space in the boot. Also one with baskets you can remove also works nice, especially when you packed all your goodies inside it can be quite heavy. remove baskets load fridge freezer and put baskets back..easy peasy Sorry for all the unwanted advice, just stuff people told us before we started camping and buying gear
  14. Our setup... Two dome tents and extension with gazebo and all the other niceties. Got a trailer last year, just a normal Campmaster Roadster 300, and installed a roof rack for our Mountain Bikes.. those tents take up a lot of packing space, and space in Xtrail was only that big, so decided to get an Isuzu Double Cab a few weeks back. But yeah, we enjoy our camping, and often break away for a weekend. Think tents give us option to be more flexible to where we want to go and while expensive to get everything together, worth every Rand spent. Would like to upgrade to a proper bush trailer/caravan at some stage but for now we are happy.
  15. My wife not in the business but she has a Silhouette vinyl Cutter and Heat Press for doing vinyl on shirts etc. You get sublimation printers as well that you can use printable vinyl with etc.,,, Looking at buying the equipment yourself? Look at JG Electronics in Blairgowrie, Randburg
  16. Received my replacement lenses for my Oakley Batwolf yesterday, fitted perfectly. Polarised and delivered to my door all for R500. Very impressed with service, communication, quality and price. Will be making use of them again for sure. They have limited stock of some Rudy's as well.
  17. I found this website on Facebook. Planning on getting new lenses for my jawbones and other Oakleys. might check it out. https://revureplacementlenses.co.za/
  18. Very true...my son turning 12 in Feb, men's XS to S...he grew 5cm since April...gonna be a huge fellow. very active with cricket and cycling
  19. We had a gunnite pool, and also wanted to redo it. Decided eventually to resurface it with fibreglass. The structure was still sound, and any leaks were sorted out with the fibreglass. 3 years later and still no issues. Maybe something to consider.
  20. Thank you guys, seems like holdfast Top Runner it is then!!!
  21. So I bought this trailer and would like to put two mountain bikes on top. Besides just a normal quick release bike holder what other options do I have? Want to do it as cost effective as possible. Any comments and suggestions are welcome Thanks
  22. Got sms on Friday, saying that I owe SARS money, was like WTF? So checked, clicked edit after struggling to get onto e-fling website, added my logsheet details for business km's and now they owe me some lekka moola. Can repaint my house and install new gutters.
