DC time calculation Formula?

Any predictions for the post-race disqualifications / protests this year?

I'm thinking at least one team will be in hot water for having their team van ferry them across the portage dirt.

Timing of the half-hour stop is likely to be another hugely inflammatory bone of contention.

In SA we cannot even time a regular time trial. It's hard to imagine that two time trials separated by a timed picnic will go off like clockwork.

Going to be riding too fast for any camera footage.

riding with your picnic blanket is contrary to rule 17A subsection 6. it may only be used for sitting on during the timed tea-break.

Water for the Tea must be boiled and not bottled water.

I will take a double shot of vodka with the Tea.

CDC finish time = Est Time of Departure + 6th team member Argus time x 2(inclusive of 10% buffer[argus 110km x 2 = 220km]) + 30 minutes stop + 5 minute portage

Eg:

CDC finish time = 06h00 + (03h30 x 2) + 0h30 + 0h05

CDC finish time = 06h00 + 07h00 + 0h35

CDC finish time = 13h35

Way to much Details.

Assuming the winning time is 5 hours, and the slowest time is 10 hours, then there's a 5 hour gap, and since there's a 2 hour start gap (theoretically between the slowest team and the fastest team), then the formula would be:

([7 hours] minus [your start time]) divide by [2 hours] times [5 hours] plus [5 hours].

So:

Start at 7am: (7-7)/2*5+5 = 5 hours.

Start at 6:30am: (7-6.5)/2*5+5 = 6.25 hours.

Start at 6am: (7-6)/2*5+5 = 7.5 hours.

Start at 5:30am: (7-5.5)/2*5+5 = 8.75 hours.

Start at 5am: (7-5)/2*5+5 = 10 hours.
