Who and how for trailer bike rack

Recommended Posts

I have a family of 5. And the normal holdfast is now a bit full. I am looking at fitting something on my venter trailer. But waht. I found this on the Venter site, but am not sure about is. Has anyone used it??

What else is there to use. What will you recommend?

Part of my problem is that the bike is from a 29er to a 16 inch bmx. I will take the side wheels off.

I had one built - Company called Strides - 082 855 3005 (Mark Strijdom).

Solid unit. They upgrade the trailor lid suspension too to hold the weight.

How many bikes does yours hold?

Its not gonna be the cheapest option, but Thule will install a roof rack type system on your trailer for up to 6 bikes. PM me your details and I'll do up a quote for you if you're interested.

5 bikes - including 2 tandems.

also have the Strides rack. Works very well, and is adjustable for longer/shorter bikes.

Mark is also a good guy to deal with. He sent the rack down to Cape Town for me, and I had the trailer company install.

Yip, my rack from Mark is on route. It s new product he has developed in which the bike wheels stay on - much like the Thule trailer system. He can custome make stuff for you if needed. Good guy too....

I dont recomment the one in this pic. I have used a trailer with one. the tyre rub and on my lat trip, it actually wore right though the side wall. PLUS the bikes are not that steady on the above setup.
