Sky (funnily enough) showed a documentary last night about Wiggo and the past year. Rather than the dry and reluctant program everyone was expecting, it apparently reported to be really good.

Just wondered if anyone saw it (UK based hubbers obviously) and if anyone recorded it / was going to store it for prosperity in everyones favourite dutch cycling torrent site...

Quote of the night:

Even his wife described him as two different people. "My husband is brilliant – he's proper good, patient, kind," she said. "Then there's the cyclist. He's a bit of a twat."

No worries, good place for a lot of hard to find stuff.

I also watched it last night. Alot of the same footage from the one earlier in the year (a very british champion) but did like the insight into the Froome / Wiggo fuss from the tour.

To be honest I like Wiggo but after watching it I was left thinking 'I know he's shy or a loner but for fecks sake, if you're sitting in a class full of kids singing to you then sit up and look interested, you're a role model. It come with the territory stop looking annoyed.'... and if I hear another thing about 'kids from Kilburn'! I did happen to think tho that cycling in europe from the Merckx era was a working class sport and the kids grew up winning the classics and the tour so why should the UK be different?

But generally a good, well filmed and interesting doco. I'd watch it in tandem with the other one as it goes a bit more into the training and general history.

Loved Shayne Sutton, what a bloody legend.
