Merida Matts TFS 100 VS Titan Trail

I'm looking at purchasing one of these bikes. There is a price a difference but which bike is better? Or can you suggest a bike under 6k

I've bought a brand new KHS with much better spec than these 2 bikes you mentioned for R5500 & could get you another 1 (still at the shop & in a box), but only mediums available.

Have a look at second hand ones, i know it sounds krap but believe me you can find alot of bikes for redonculous prices if you just look.

 

I found a 2012 scott aspect 20 with one ride under the belt for R3500 and a merida 2011 tfs 100 for R3000. Both in brand spanking new nick.

 

Do yourself a favour and get a good second hand bike and save the rest for kit.

2nd hand is an option.... but it must be an awesome deal. Besides gumtree and thehubsa where else can you look for 2nd hand?

I have the Alite 1000, and it is no comparison in terms of equipment to the Alite 2000. My LBS also has a new Alite 2000 for R 5800, and I want it bad.
