On X-Mas Special at Groupon...

http://www.groupon.c...dealid=13756945

I must be missing something here.

Unit goes for R3299 (can buy it for that price on bryton sa online shop now, feel sorry for anyone putting an order through recently)

Groupon deal is R1899

Usual groupon cut is said to be 50%, so basically Bryton SA are selling this baby for R950.

That's sort of understandable, you're taking a haircut here to get your product into the market and try gain some traction against the big market leader (or you're ripping us a good one the rest of the time).

What I don't understand is punting your groupon deal to mostly tech savvy, product aware thehubsa community? You could have just run a limited hubsa only promotion for say R1500. You'd take a smaller haircut, we'd get a better deal and you'd probably get more airtime here. Don't really expect an answer, just find it odd.

Hi TD, not really, we are using this as you say to promote and get people onto our brand, the device indeed retails for R3299 but is not available online for purchase, this is a X-Mas Deal just for Groupon. Thereafter normal RRP will stnad and shoudl the exchange rate favour us even a price drop in Jan. The required margin/mark up requirement from Groupon in nowhere near 50%, you are welcome to call them and structure ideal with any product and they will disclose to you...

My apologies, but you do have it here and available to 'add to cart' - http://bryton.co.za/product/run/cardio-40-h-detail

My anecdotal reports on groupon mark-up were from suppliers for services/restaurant deals, where I suppose the 50% markup was possible without the supplier running an actual loss per deal.

All the best for the deal(and the future).
