Matchmaker clamps - Hope & Rock Shox levers

I've been trying to figure our the options with the matchmaker clamp system, and a been left feeling a bit confused. Maybe its all the xmas pies ...

Seems they are orientated towards putting the trigger shifters on the brake clamps?

What I have (build is work in progress) is SRAM X0 3x10 Twisters, Hope X2 Brakes and a Rockshox hydraulic remote on either side. Left one for Lefty XLR Speed lock out, right one for dropper seat post (thanks Carbon29niener for the good deal)

What I am wanting to do is combine the remotes on the brake clamps - is this possible with the matchmaker system? Not that I am short on real estate with the 660mm FSA bars I have, but the style I roll is 'less is more'

These are the Hope Tech Matchmaker clamps:

This is the Rock Shox lockout:

Can't really see how the remote can be fitted on the clamps, or is there a way?

There are two types of matchmaker: you need matchmaker X (MMX) clamps.

The MMX clamps:

Will end up like this:

Doesn't seem the mmx system applies

Not possible as the matchmaker fitting is on both the reverb and xlr clamp AND on the brake clamp, and they are both not removable. You can only remove the clamp from the changers and replace it with the MMX fitting. With the grip shift you are stuffed and have to keep the clatter.

Edit: Which is why I went for the PBR on the lefty! After the fugly Fox CTD remote lever on the bar!

I have a PBR on my prophet AM bike, its good, but been living with the Fox RLC lefty lever lockout on the shock on my Scalpel 2000 for years. It does get a hassle to take your hands off the bars / brakes whilst on the move, also for the dropper post, the X Fusion one on my Prophet has lever under the saddle, its easy enough but same distraction applies.

On my new marathon machine I will have symmetrical Rock Shox remotes on either side (front shox and dropper post), but the rear shock (Fox CTD) not as yet: that remote system is one gawky ugly mofo imho. Might have to improvise with something more minimalist, the rear lockout (or firming up) is very handy on the climbs.

Too true, the effect is great but the control has no place on any self respecting bike, be it a 29er or, like Rudolph Straeuli, that distant under developed cousin no one talks about.

I'm experimenting with a SRAM gripshift system for the rear CTD, will post when I get it working properly.

Shimano shifters are available with i-spec which clips onto the brake housing but as SRAM make the hydraulic bits don't hold your breath that you'll be able to use one clamp per side.

Is it possible to run only hydraulic lockout lever and shifter....

I know there's some guys in the states who McGuyver'd the iSpec and matchmaker clamp but its quite pricey....
