Hi,

In the last year or so I must have broken 3 or 4 back wheel spokes on my MTB. It is not as a result of falls but just seem to happen. Can anyone tell me why?

Someone mentioned that it may be fatigue as I've been riding the same bike for almost 5 years now. Should I get an entire new wheel instead of having the spokes replaced every time?

Thanks,

Jeff

It is due to metal fatigue. Metal fatigue happens in wheels that weren't built properly and were not stress relieved.

Find someone who understands the term stress relieve and have them build you a durable wheel.
