Problem with WT is when they time events everyone is out of the office and nobody is left behind to sort out the queries from previous races. I had a query with them on a 94.7 race which was only rectified in February the following year.

Very unprofessional company in my opinion. Communication from them was non existent and I had to keep on mailing them and phoning them to get my time up. Eventually I think I pissed them off so much they just fixed it to get rid of me.

When they did eventually fix it there was no communication from them to apologize for their F'up I just miraculously found my time on the website one day when checking.

Control C good luck with these plonkers but don't hold your breath. I would currently regard them as the ESKOM of the Cycling Timming Business.

Is it not possible that you started late on the long route and the mats had been set already for the shorter route?

Anything is possible, but if the mats had already been set for the medium route, then ALL of the guys starting in the "open" group should have my problem. Just before I started, the PPA marshalls told a bunch of the medium route guys to wait at the back because this is "still the long route guys". I started near the front of the group and immediately teamed up with a group of guys going at a pace to my liking. I also can't see how the form can be relevant, but hey, this is PPAOuch It was the only "reason" I could think about.

But the fact that they don't reply to my mails! Makes me think: WT's staff could just as well have been MP. They're either corrupt or missing...

cut timing from the normal run of the mill races. all of us have cycle computors we can time ourselves. just imagine the cost it would save us. time the Argus ' date=' Burger , 99'er and maybe two other events for seeding purposes.

my 3 cents
[/quote']And just imagine if we only had electricity one day of the week we would save so much more money!!! Mmmm....

I finally received a reply from WT exactly ten days after my initial email. Thanks for your speedy reply guys! Confused

Apparently they fixed the mistake with the Remax/Wingerd ride. But then they deleted all my other results because I'm not a PPA member.

I bought my WT chip back in 2004[?] for a Burger/Sanlam race, but only started using it at PPA events this year.

The funny part is that the PPA is advertising WT chips to NON-PPA members on their website.

So they're willing to sell WT chips to non PPA members, but they won't time you unless you're PPA?Dead

You still get your Argus times without PPA membership and it is the biggest race out there, so that might explain it.

Bwahahahahahahahaahahahahaha!!!!. I'm sorry but that is hilarious!

PPA, you can delete my results too: I am also not a member. The only reason I would become a member would be to gain access to your financial statements, so I can investigate deeper the links between yourselves and WT.
