Just sharing our experience with Polar

I Bought me and my wife each an RC3 GPS unit earlier this year

After about 3 months we had a issue with the HR strap on my wife's unit, as well as she was concerned about the runtime (12-13 hours with GPS claimed). Her fear is that during comrades the unit will not last the full 12 hours, as she us usually just under 12 hours.

So Gideon picked up the unit and HR strap from my home, and gave her a loan unit to use.

They tested the unit and assured me it should last the full 12 hours.

Last night he brought it back to my home, with the strap replaced under warranty and the software of the watch updated. He also updated my software while there (the unit now also has altitude function included)

To calm my wife's fears that the unit will run out of battery life 30 minutes before the finnish he gave her another unit that has a 20 hour running time to use for Comrades day.

Thanks Gideon, good service!
