BarryH Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 Well I weigh 112kg's and I take pride in the fact that I put my bike through punishment, especially downhill. I had a set of slr's on and they lasted well. I banged them hard on the rim and got a flat spot on the rear. They finally got a problem in that the rim cracked around the area where the spoke threads into the rim. I think at 85kg's you will be fine. At the CWC price I think it is definitely worth it. the cost and trouble of maintaining these rims is just a bit rough, you need to look after those hubs, they are great but they need love. I went over to Fulcrum Red Metal Xl's and they seem a bit stronger but also a bit heavier.
