I see COD blackops got on day 1, 50 gig update

That's impressive. People should not do online gaming if you don't have uncapped internet

The missus and I have a 60 gig router, we use that sparingly. The only game I play online is Starcraft 2, otherwise we use the router for our phones and for the odd internet browsing session. Might look into upgrading to uncapped later on.

I currently run 200gb capped adsl.

It works never capped it. I watch anime and update all the games (Overwatch, Fortnite(this has alot of updates), Diablo3, All steam games(about 12))

I would be stuffed if I get faster line and wife starts watching 1080p netflix or something.

I have 300gig day time fiber, and 1tb night time data.

My neighbor and I share this, with the agreement that he pays half and all our downloads and updates is done between 00:00 and 5:00.

We never had the option of ADSL. Telkom said that they won't be installing copper anymore.

Fiber is so cheap these days, I pay R705 20mb Fibre uncapped.

In house gym where the kids may not have the password to the internet, I run wireless 25 gig 4g package for R250

And between two people sharing, each person would have to pay R352.50, not too bad.

If I could get fibre  I would have some.

I currently pay R760 odd for the adsl

Same here, only ADSL available at the moment. I have a 10meg line, and works well 95% of the time. Pay R806 per month for uncapped.

Who's going to rAge?

https://www.rageexpo.co.za/event/rage-2018/

Thinking of going next year.

I popped into the local gaming store to pick up my youngstest son's bday pressie (replica assasins creed dagger thingy [emoji39])and we chatted about Rage and he said there was mixed feedback this year.

I took my kids a few years ago..but you must go with a very generous budget.. or leave any and all cash/cards at home.[emoji39]

Even I enjoyed it when we went..but yeah it is a very expensive outing, manly because there are so many cool items for sale

I'm like a big kid when it comes to gaming / geeky related things, so I'm sure I would enjoy it. Best I start putting some dosh aside for rAge next year :P

BlizzCon as well. I think I would go ballistics if there was one of those held here.

Yeah my kids had starry eyes the whole day.

But besides the gear on display and the gaming experiences all over ..there is this one section where local artists etc sell their gaming artwork..we picked up some really stunning drawings last time and bought a cool graphic novel..so it is nice to see the local artists and support them...some very talent people out there..

Yeh, perhaps I could take the Mrs and our little one with, but our daughter will only be 2 next year and the Mrs says she's not too interested in rAge, although she also games, but I think it's Jozi that puts her off.

Yoh.. a 2 year old there, it might be really overwhelming for the little one, just choose your day carefully when you go with a toddler.. we went on the Friday and it was not as busy as the Saturday and the Sunday is apparently quiet but a lot of stalls start packing up and things are sold out etc..
