Found one or two that look potentially good, nothing outstanding that's grabbed my attention.

My height is 6.0ft

I will probably only buy after next paycheck, but if you got something for sale lemme know.

Cheers

The size should be perfect.

I attach the picture. Bike is very well maintained, has been used by a MTBer to train during the week, plus odd road races (94.7 etc). R2700.

I'd say try get a 105 groupset, in MTB terms you are looking at somewhere around Deore.

Sora is rubbish and Tiagra is average at best.

105 is more like SLX in mtb TERMS

Whats the spec on this bike? It is up in jhb, I'd rather buy something down here that I can inspect before purchasing.

At a rough guess, I'd say you will need a 56cm frame.

Well I checked a online sizing guide, and based on my height and inseam it recommended a 58cm frame. But a 56cm would probably work too

Tks for the help guys, and clarification on the groupsets.

The only thing now is, nobody ever advertises the year model of their bikes. So when I see a trek 1000 for R3000 and a giant OCR3 for R3000 with the same groupo, I have no idea what the differences between the frames are, especially i.t.o. of weight, for all I know one frame could weigh 3kg and the other one 5kg, if you catch my drift.

Thanks for the advert, not bad deals!! Will keep in mind
